BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND...
Did you know that once and for all,
artificial food coloring and additives have been medically
proven to fuel hyperactivity, according to a September 2007
issue of The Lancet medical journal?
Furthermore, the impact of these artificial colors, dyes,
and additives affect the entire population, not just kids
with hyperactivity disorders. Reactions include emotional
outbursts, rage, and developmental challenges.
Food coloring can be found everywhere in the average child's
diet: in juice boxes, in goldfish crackers, even in kid
toothpaste!
If you have been putting off getting your kids on a healthier diet, suspect or know your child has a food sensitivity or allergy, or are just plain confused about what is the best food for your children, this is the workshop series for you.
In this first of a series, parents will:
· Have the opportunity to discuss
roadblocks to researching and buying the “right” foods for
their kids.
· Be given solid information about
organics, toxic food additives and preservatives, and
potential allergens (both obvious and hidden).
· Walk away with clear and easy steps to get started cleaning out the pantry, including tips on how to make some simple changes in your family’s diet and ideas for healthier family-friendly products available in your local market.
Presented and co-led by Jen Maidenberg, of Mindful Living NJ, a mom who has gone through the process first-hand and consults with parents in the area of alternative health and nutrition, and Dr. Jodie Dawson, Psy.D., CPCC, Director, The Alchemy Foundation for Children and Families, who coaches and consults with parents and families on parenting and family issues impacting the health of their children.
